Rising mains and wastewater pump station replacement/renewal works at numerous sites within the Raglan, Horotiu, Ngaruawahia, Huntly, Te Kauwhata and Meremere.

The scope included replacing 4 existing wastewater rising mains in Raglan and the upgrade of 25 pump stations across the Waikato District.


Works included:

  • Installation of four new HDPE Wastewater Rising Mains and live connections to the network

  • Replacement of Pumps within existing Pump Stations

  • Construction of new Valve Chambers

  • Valve and Pump Riser replacement

  • Installation of new wash down stations at various Pump Station sites.


These works were coordinated around school terms and holiday festivals to reduce risk at peak times.


Innovation:

Prefabricated PE manholes were used to minimise temporary works where manholes were replaced in coastal environments. This reduced the environmental risk.
