Waikeria Wastewater Scheme Upgrade

This project involved a new WW Pump Station at the Prison consisting of an 8m deep secant piled wet well, steel panel WW storage tanks, inlet works, and a control building.

Construction of a new Wastewater Scheme for the Waikeria Prison upgrade. The project involved construction of:

  • A new WW Pump Station at the Prison consisting of an 8m deep secant piled wet well, two steel panel WW storage tanks, inlet works, and a Control Building together with associated civil siteworks, mechanical and electrical installations.

  • 10km of 280 OD PE rising main between Waikeria Prison and Kihikihi were laid to connect the new Pump Station to the existing Te Awamutu WW network.

  • A new receiving pump station was constructed in Albert Park consisting of a fibreglass wet well and three fibreglass underground storage tanks

  • a further 2.5km of 315-500OD PE rising main laid through Te Awamutu to connect to the existing WWTP.
